Crafts and Fibers 2 students acquire technical and conceptual skills to create wearable art informed by materiality, and purpose. Students has pro choice in choosing a technical processes that best articulates their artist voice, such as embroidery, block printing, weaving, dyeing, applique embellishment, and garment construction. Students are encouraged to discover new ways of working through material experimentation. Students prototype samples and start to understand structure, assembly and garment construction. Their final product is the creation of a wearable piece of art that connects to their Culture.
